Committees

Being an active member in the Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association means business. Working with builders and associates in areas that serve the community and support the construction industry is the best way to ensure that your dues are being utilized. Take a moment to sign up for a committee today!! The GBV Builders Association has several committees that you can participate on.

2019 Committees and Chairs

Builders BBQ Committee: Co-Chairs: Tim Bailey & David Deutsch

Attends committee meetings prior to the BBQ Cook-off to plan and organize the event. Implements committee decisions. Attends and volunteers at the event. Solicits participation/sponsorship for the event. Works within the event budget.

 

Builder/Realtor Committee: Chair: Maegan Mahoney

Attends committee meetings. Plans, organizes and implements committee decisions, in conjunction with the B/CS Realtors Association, two (2) events for the Builders, Realtors and Affiliates.  Attends and volunteers at both events. Solicits participation/sponsorship for the events. Works within event budget.

 

Community Service Committee: Chair: Dwight Groves

Attends committee meetings quarterly. Review community service requests from charitable organizations. Determines whether to submit donation requests to the Board of Directors for approval of donation. Works within budget.

 

Education Committee: Chair: Jason Marek

Attends committee meetings to determine educational needs, organize and implement a variety of programs for the benefit of members and general public. Solicits participation/sponsorship for programs. Works within the budget.

 

Golf Tournament Committee: Co-Chairs: Bryan Reece & Douglas Campbell

Attends committee meetings prior to the tournament to plan and organize the event. Implements committee decisions. Attends and volunteers at the event. Solicits participation/sponsorship for the event. Works within the event budget.

 

Government Relations/Legislative Rally Committee: Chair: Chad Murphy, Co-Chair: Victor Drozd

Attends committee meetings, attends specific meetings with the cities as appointed and/or Government Authorities. Attends Rally Day (every other year). Implements strategies as approved by committee and/or Board of Directors. Works within budget.

 

Home Expo Committee: Co-Chairs: Randy Ripple & Brian Windham

Attends committee meetings prior to the show to plan and organize the event. Implements committee decisions. Attends and volunteers at the event. Solicits participation/sponsorship for the event. Works within the event budget.

Membership/Hospitality/Monthly Meetings Committee: Chair: Pam Cemino

Plans and organizes monthly general membership meetings. Obtains sponsors for monthly membership meetings. Attends committee meetings. Attends and volunteers at the events. Plans and organizes membership drive events and member services. Solicits and recruits new members. Works on membership retention. Works enthusiastically with committee to create and implement new ideas for membership and membership services. Works within the budget.

 

Remodeler’s Council: Chairs: Nathaneal Cook

Establishes the educational needs and scheduling for programs for members of the council. Determine ways to education the public to assist with consumer knowledge about remodeling and favorable contractor traits.

 

Spring & Fall Parade of Homes™ Committee: CO-Chairs: David Deutsch & Dennis McMillin

Attends committee meetings prior to the Parade to plan, organize and implement the Parade of Homes. Solicits participation/sponsorship for the Parade. Helps out during both weekends of the Parade. Works within the event budget.

 

Skeet Shoot Committee: Chairman: Randy Ripple

Attends committee meetings prior to the Skeet Shoot to plan, organize and implement the annual Skeet Shoot. Attends and volunteers at the event. Solicits participations/sponsorships for the event. Works within the event budget.
