This Privacy Policy and these Terms & Conditions apply to the websites, digital services, programs, event platforms, registration systems, and communications operated by or on behalf of Bryan College Station Builders Association, doing business as Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association (“GBVBA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

Covered websites and services include, without limitation:

  • Parade of Homes: parade.gbvbuilders.org and related Parade of Homes pages and platforms
  • Home & Lifestyle Expo: www.gbvbaexpo.com and related Expo pages and platforms

By accessing or using these websites or services, you acknowledge this Privacy Policy and these Terms & Conditions.

Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

GBVBA may collect information that you voluntarily provide to us, including:

  • Name
  • Company or organization name
  • Mailing address
  • Email address
  • Telephone and mobile phone numbers
  • Membership information
  • Member profile information
  • Event registrations and attendance information
  • Parade of Homes registration or participation information
  • Home & Lifestyle Expo registration or participation information
  • Payment and transaction-related information
  • Communication preferences
  • Survey responses
  • Leadership, committee, sponsorship, exhibitor, or other applications
  • Information submitted through forms, directories, or online accounts
  • Other information you voluntarily provide to GBVBA

Payment-card information may be processed by independent third-party payment processors. Depending on the system being used, GBVBA may not directly receive or store complete payment-card information.

2. Information Collected Automatically

When you visit one of our websites or digital services, certain information may be collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, access dates and times, approximate location information, and other technical or usage information.

GBVBA or its service providers may use cookies, analytics tools, pixels, and similar technologies to operate our websites, understand usage, improve services, maintain security, and measure the effectiveness of communications or advertising.

3. How We Use Information

GBVBA may use information to:

  • Administer membership and member accounts
  • Process event registrations, tickets, sponsorships, exhibitor registrations, and payments
  • Operate the Parade of Homes and Home & Lifestyle Expo
  • Maintain member, builder, sponsor, exhibitor, and participant directories
  • Communicate about GBVBA programs, meetings, events, education, advocacy, and services
  • Send event reminders and registration deadline notices
  • Provide customer and member support
  • Process applications, surveys, forms, and submissions
  • Maintain accounting, membership, attendance, and other Association records
  • Fulfill contractual and legal obligations
  • Improve our websites, programs, events, services, and communications

4. Sharing Information With Service Providers

GBVBA does not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

We may provide information to trusted vendors and service providers that assist GBVBA with membership administration, website hosting, event registration, ticketing, payment processing, email delivery, SMS messaging, surveys, analytics, database management, communications, advertising, or other services necessary to operate Association programs and services.

These service providers may use information only as reasonably necessary to provide services to GBVBA, to maintain or secure those services, or as otherwise permitted or required by law.

GBVBA may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process, governmental requests, enforce Association policies or agreements, protect GBVBA or others from harm, investigate suspected fraud or misuse, or protect legal rights.

5. SMS/Text Messaging Privacy

GBVBA offers optional SMS text messaging to individuals who have expressly consented to receive text messages from the Association.

GBVBA currently uses TextBox as a third-party SMS messaging service provider to assist with sending and receiving text messages. We may change messaging providers in the future as operational needs require.

If you opt in, GBVBA may use your mobile telephone number to send Association-related communications, including:

  • Event registration reminders
  • Event attendance reminders
  • Registration deadlines
  • Meeting and program information
  • Education opportunities
  • Leadership and Association opportunities
  • Parade of Homes information
  • Home & Lifestyle Expo information
  • Other GBVBA-related notices

Message frequency is generally approximately 1–2 messages per month, although frequency may vary depending on event schedules, registration deadlines, or Association activities.

Message and data rates may apply.

Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in information, and SMS consent information will not be sold, rented, shared, transferred, or disclosed to third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Mobile information may be provided to TextBox, wireless carriers, telecommunications providers, or other service providers assisting GBVBA with delivery, routing, administration, security, or operation of the SMS messaging service. Such information is provided only as reasonably necessary to provide those services.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of membership, purchasing, event registration, or participation in a GBVBA program.

To stop receiving text messages, reply STOP to a GBVBA text message. You may receive a final confirmation message after opting out.

Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.

6. Email Communications

GBVBA may send members, registrants, participants, subscribers, and other contacts email communications related to membership, programs, events, Association business, and other relevant information.

Promotional emails will include an unsubscribe method when required. Transactional, registration, account-related, billing, or administrative communications may still be sent when necessary to provide requested services.

7. Member, Builder, Exhibitor, Sponsor and Participant Information

Certain information provided to GBVBA may be intended for public display. Examples include member directory listings, company names, builder information, Parade of Homes listings, sponsor information, exhibitor listings, business descriptions, logos, photographs, website links, and business contact information.

By submitting information specifically for publication, you authorize GBVBA to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and publish that information in connection with Association programs, websites, directories, events, marketing, and related communications.

8. Third-Party Websites and Platforms

GBVBA websites may contain links to or use websites, software, and services provided by independent third parties. These may include membership-management systems, payment processors, ticketing providers, event-management platforms, SMS providers such as TextBox, email providers, social-media platforms, analytics services, mapping services, and other technology providers.

GBVBA does not control the privacy, security, availability, content, or business practices of independent third-party services. Your use of those services may also be governed by the provider's own terms and privacy policy.

9. Cookies and Analytics

GBVBA websites may use cookies and similar technologies to remember preferences, maintain login sessions, understand website usage, improve functionality, measure traffic, and support communications and marketing activities.

Your browser may allow you to restrict or disable cookies. Doing so may affect the operation of certain website features.

10. Data Security

GBVBA uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

No electronic transmission, website, database, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. GBVBA therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Data Retention

GBVBA may retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to administer membership, events, transactions, Association records, legal obligations, contractual obligations, and legitimate operational purposes.

12. Requests Regarding Personal Information

You may contact GBVBA to request review or correction of personal information maintained by the Association or to request deletion where reasonably appropriate.

GBVBA may retain information when necessary for legal, financial, membership, contractual, transaction, recordkeeping, fraud-prevention, or other legitimate purposes.

13. Children's Privacy

GBVBA does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.

14. Changes to the Privacy Policy

GBVBA may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be posted on this page and the “Last Updated” date will be revised.

Website & Digital Services Terms & Conditions

1. Organization

These websites and digital services are operated by Bryan College Station Builders Association, doing business as Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association, a Texas nonprofit trade association recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(6) of the Internal Revenue Code.

2. Informational Purpose

GBVBA websites provide information concerning the Association, its members, residential construction, events, programs, government affairs, education, the Parade of Homes, the Home & Lifestyle Expo, sponsors, exhibitors, builders, and related activities.

Website content is provided for general informational purposes. It is not legal, financial, tax, engineering, architectural, real-estate, construction, building-code, or other professional advice.

3. Accuracy and Availability

GBVBA makes reasonable efforts to provide useful and current information; however, content may contain errors, omissions, outdated information, or information supplied by third parties.

Event schedules, participating homes, builders, exhibitors, sponsors, speakers, programs, pricing, locations, availability, deadlines, and other information may change without notice.

GBVBA does not warrant that its websites or digital services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or continuously available.

4. No Endorsement or Guarantee

Membership in GBVBA, participation in the Parade of Homes or Home & Lifestyle Expo, sponsorship, advertising, directory inclusion, or appearance on a GBVBA website does not constitute a warranty, certification, guarantee, or endorsement by GBVBA.

Builders, remodelers, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, exhibitors, sponsors, advertisers, members, and other businesses appearing on GBVBA websites are independent persons or entities.

GBVBA does not guarantee or warrant any participant's licensing status, insurance coverage, financial condition, products, services, workmanship, pricing, representations, code compliance, contracts, warranties, business practices, or performance.

Users are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before entering into a contract, purchase, or other transaction with any member, builder, exhibitor, sponsor, vendor, advertiser, or third party.

5. Parade of Homes

Parade of Homes properties are owned, constructed, marketed, or controlled by independent builders, developers, homeowners, or property owners and are not owned or controlled by GBVBA unless expressly stated.

Participating homes, addresses, availability, viewing hours, features, pricing, photographs, maps, and other details may change. A home may be withdrawn, sold, occupied, closed, or otherwise unavailable without prior notice.

Visitors must follow all posted rules and instructions established by GBVBA, participating builders, property owners, and event personnel.

6. Home & Lifestyle Expo

Exhibitors participating in the Home & Lifestyle Expo are independent businesses and are responsible for their own products, services, demonstrations, displays, representations, transactions, contracts, and warranties.

GBVBA does not guarantee participation by any particular exhibitor, vendor, speaker, demonstration, sponsor, or program. Exhibitor locations, programs, schedules, and event details may change without notice.

7. Event Registration and Tickets

GBVBA programs and events may require registration, admission credentials, tickets, fees, or acceptance of additional event-specific terms and conditions.

Additional terms shown during registration, ticket purchase, or checkout are incorporated into the terms applicable to that transaction or event.

Refund, cancellation, substitution, transfer, admission, attendance, and access policies may differ by event and will be governed by the applicable event registration or checkout terms.

8. User Accounts

Certain GBVBA services may require an account. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their login information and for activity occurring through their accounts.

GBVBA may suspend or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect the Association, its systems, members, users, data, or services or in response to suspected unauthorized or improper activity.

9. User-Submitted Content

If you provide photographs, logos, descriptions, listings, advertisements, documents, event information, or other materials to GBVBA for publication, you represent that you possess the rights and permissions necessary to provide those materials.

You authorize GBVBA to use, reproduce, crop, resize, format, display, distribute, and publish submitted materials as reasonably necessary to administer or promote the Association, its membership, events, programs, websites, directories, and communications.

10. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise identified, GBVBA-created website content, designs, logos, graphics, photographs, publications, event materials, and other content are owned by or licensed to GBVBA and may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Content may not be reproduced, republished, distributed, modified, sold, or commercially used without permission except as permitted by law.

11. Third-Party Links and Services

GBVBA websites may link to or integrate services operated by independent third parties. Providing a link or integration does not necessarily constitute an endorsement.

GBVBA is not responsible for the content, availability, privacy, security, representations, products, services, or conduct of independent third-party websites or service providers.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GBVBA websites, digital services, and information are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

GBVBA makes no representation or warranty, express or implied, regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, suitability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of website content or services.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, GBVBA and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, representatives, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to use of, or inability to use, GBVBA websites or digital services.

GBVBA is not responsible for losses arising from reliance on information supplied by independent builders, members, exhibitors, vendors, sponsors, advertisers, technology providers, or other third parties.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive rights or impose limitations that cannot lawfully be waived or limited.

14. Prohibited Use

Users may not use GBVBA websites or systems to engage in unlawful activity, interfere with website operations, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious software, harvest information without authorization, impersonate another individual, or otherwise misuse Association systems or content.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

16. Changes to These Terms

GBVBA may revise these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date.

SMS Text Messaging Terms & Conditions

1. GBVBA Text Messaging Program

Greater Brazos Valley Builders Association offers an optional SMS text messaging program for individuals who expressly consent to receive text messages from the Association.

GBVBA currently uses TextBox to facilitate its SMS text messaging program.

Messages may include:

  • Event registration reminders
  • Event attendance reminders
  • Registration deadlines
  • Association programs and meetings
  • Education opportunities
  • Leadership opportunities
  • Parade of Homes information
  • Home & Lifestyle Expo information
  • Other Association-related announcements

2. Consent to Receive Text Messages

By voluntarily opting in to receive GBVBA SMS communications, you authorize GBVBA and its messaging service provider to send text messages to the mobile telephone number you provide.

Consent is not a condition of membership, purchase, event registration, or participation in a GBVBA program.

3. Message Frequency

You can generally expect approximately 1–2 text messages per month. Message frequency may vary based on event schedules, registration deadlines, and Association activities.

Message and data rates may apply.

Your mobile carrier's messaging and data rates may apply to messages sent to you by GBVBA and messages you send to GBVBA.

5. Opting Out

STOP: You may cancel SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to a GBVBA text message.

After you send STOP, the messaging system may send you a confirmation that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive messages through that SMS program unless you later provide new consent.

SMS delivery is subject to the availability and operation of wireless networks, telecommunications providers, TextBox, and other systems outside GBVBA's direct control.

9. Changes to the SMS Program

GBVBA may modify or discontinue its SMS program, change the telephone number used to send messages, or change its SMS service provider at any time.

If GBVBA changes providers, these SMS Terms will continue to apply to Association text messaging unless otherwise stated.
