Professional Bio
Before founding Pearland Pools in 1999, Randy served the City of Pearland as an Assistant Building Official, Plans Examiner, and Code Enforcement Officer. Earlier in his career, he worked as a Chief Stationary Engineer, where he developed hands-on knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
That experience gives Randy a rare understanding of what happens behind the finished surface of a pool.
He knows how plumbing should be routed to promote efficient circulation, reliable performance, and easier long-term service. He understands how electrical components should be configured for safety and code compliance. He can identify construction details that may look acceptable initially but could lead to operational problems, unnecessary repairs, or reduced equipment life later.
Many pool contractors understand how to assemble a pool. Randy understands how the entire system should be planned, engineered, inspected, and built correctly.
Building codes establish minimum requirements. Randy’s goal is not simply to satisfy those minimums.
His experience on both sides of the inspection process helps Pearland Pools plan carefully, avoid shortcuts, and build systems intended to perform reliably for years. That technical understanding is one of the most meaningful differences between Pearland Pools and builders whose experience is limited primarily to pool installation.
The result is a custom pool that is not only designed beautifully, but constructed with greater foresight, precision, and accountability.
After nearly 27 years in the Houston area, Randy and his wife wanted to get out of the big city and enjoy the country living Brazos Valley offers. We love it here!
